Lincoln, NE - Capital Soccer Association’s Rimini Ross, having won the Nebraska and United States Youth Soccer Region 2 Girl’s Coach of the Year Awards last fall, will travel to St. Louis March 3-5 for the USYSA National Convention. The convention schedule of events includes the Coach of the Year Award ceremony for the nation’s top coaches.
Selection for the award is based on several criteria including written nominations from players, parents, and club representatives as well as showing dedication to professional development.
“I’m looking forward to the event in St. Louis simply because it is such a tremendous honor to have come this far and to be a candidate for a National Award is a highlight for me as a coach. I just want to represent the people that I coach for as well as Nebraska and the Midwest in the best way possible.”
Ross, a Colorado native, played collegiate soccer at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK before playing professionally in the Netherlands with PUK in Deventer, Holland. Ross carries a USSF B License and has served on staff with Capital Soccer since 2004.
