Polak will also join the USYSA Region II U15 Boys team April 14—22 for a trip to play and train in England and Scotland.
Over the past year, Polak has represented both teams at events held in Concord, Massachusetts; Guadalajara, Mexico; Austin, Texas, Los Angeles, California, Orlando and Bradenton, Florida.
Polak, a freshman at Lincoln Pius X, is one of the first players from Nebraska to reach the national stage. The youngest of four brothers, Tyler grew up learning from his older siblings and playing with Lincoln’s Capital Soccer Association. Tyler has participated in the Nebraska Olympic Development Program for the past three years which has paved the way for his opportunities with the Regional and National Teams. “Tyler is very fortunate in that he has been called into the National Team events since joining ODP at the age of 12”, says Polak’s Mother Jan.
“Good fortune may play its part, but many consider Tyler to be perhaps the finest soccer talent to ever play in Nebraska”, said Bill Koeppen, Capital Soccer’s Director of Coaching. “Tyler plays with passion, skill, class that and some of the quickest feet you will ever see…Tyler, like his brothers Nate and Aaron, is a competitor who spent countless hours in the backyard playing with and learning from those same brothers who many ODP coaches credit for Polak’s development.”
