Micro Soccer

Ages (kids born between 08/01/2004 & 07/31/2006)

 

What's new? – starting this August, we will expand our offerings to include eight weeks at one hour per week, up from the six we normally offer.

 

We will gather on Sundays starting between 2 and 5pm, with the last group ending at 6pm. The younger girls and boys will likely begin at 2 and 3pm, with older girls and boys starting at 4 and 5pm. We will begin Sunday August 22, skip September 5th because of the Labor Day weekend, and conclude October 17.

 

Program cost is $60.00

 

Our micro soccer program has a rich history of getting players started the right way. The focus of our program is to help your child develop a love for the sport of soccer. Introduction to the game and the fundamental skills of soccer will be joyfully delivered in a variety of fun activities geared to bring laughter, enjoyment, and the love of the game to your child. Micro season is typically six to eight weeks long and is offered in the spring, fall, and winter and is normally played on Sundays in the spring and fall, and Saturday mornings in the winter. Games at this age are predominantly 3 v 3. A typical hour will include 30-40 minutes of skill instruction followed by 20-30 minutes of playing. 

All training and games are played at the Abbott Soccer Complex located just north of Cornhusker on 70th. All training is overseen by Director of Coaching Marty Everding.  Marty has been our DOC for the past 3 years and prior to that was the Husker Assistant Coach with the University of Nebraska Women's Soccer Team from 1994-2006.
