What's new? – in August we will feature two options for you to choose from.
Option #1 This will mirror what we have done this past spring, with each week featuring one practice and one game. The only difference is that we will extend the season to include two more weeks, thus providing eight training sessions and seven games, so fifteen hours altogether. Practices for U7 & U8 will be on Monday evenings, beginning 08/16/2010 and the time will be from 5:15-6:15 pm at Abbott Soccer Complex. Games will be played on Saturdays with the final league game on October 9th. We will not play on Saturday Sepember 4 in light of the Labor Day weekend.
Program cost is $110.00
Option#2 For those of you who want more soccer, we will expand to two practices per week and one game per week over an eight week period, giving a total of sixteen practices and seven games, providing twenty three hours of activity. These additional practices will be on Thursday evenings beginning 08/19/2010 and will be from 5:15-6:15 pm at Abbott Soccer Complex. If you choose to participate in this Elite Program of 2 practices a week and one game per week the total cost for the season would be $190.00.
We will begin the week of August 16, skip September 4th because of the Labor Day weekend, and conclude with our last game October 9.
.
Whether you choose option #1 or #2, you can still play on the same team.
The new format will also involve training a much smaller group of players at a time. We are planning on working with groups of 15-20 players per hour, and train the kids with their teams. Each training hour will therefore have 2 or 3 teams practicing together.
Our U7 and U8 soccer program helps young players develop their individual skills while introducing some of the basic principles of play. They will train with Coach Marty Everding and/or his staff during the week and play games once a week on Saturdays. U7 and U8 play 5v5 with goalkeepers. Our format for Saturday games is somewhat unique and highly practical; Coach Everding and/or one of his staff serve as both referee and Coach for both teams, calling fouls, encouraging and stopping play occasionally to make a coaching point. All games and training sessions are held at Lincoln's premier soccer facility, the Abbott Soccer Complex located just north of Cornhusker on 70th.

In May we finished six weeks consisting of one practice (one hour) per week and one game per week, so twelve total hours of instruction and play. A number of our members indicated a strong desire for us to offer more, so these changes reflect that.
What's new? – this August we will offer two options.
Option #1
One 75 minute practice per week, as well as one game done over a period of nine weeks. Excluding the Labor Day weekend, that will mean nine practices and eight games. In comparison to the past spring season which had twelve hours of involvement, this option bumps it up to nineteen. Practices will be on Mondays beginning 08/16/2010 and will be from 6:15-7:30 pm at Abbott Soccer Complex. Program cost is $120.00
Option #2
See above, but add an additional training session per week for people who want to develop further, bringing nine more training sessions or eleven additional hours for player development, giving a total of eighteen practices, eight games, and just over thirty hours of instruction and play. The second practice will be on Thursdays from 6:15-7:30pm. Program cost is $210.00.
Whether you opt for option #1 or #2, you would still play on the same team.
We will begin the week of August 16, skip September 4th because of the Labor Day weekend, and conclude October 16.
Games will be on Saturday and we will utilize Mondays and Thursdays to accommodate the two practice days. Practices will go from 6:15 to 7:30pm.
The new format will also continue with how we have done things this spring, with training groups consisting of 15-20 players or two-three teams.

At U9 & U10 you have the option of playing on a team that travels in the ENSA league or playing all games in house. If you choose to travel you could play games in Omaha, York, Fremont or other surrounding towns and games could be on a school night. CSA does not create that schedule for traveling teams. If you would like to play on a traveling team please choose travel on the form. If you stay in house all games are on Saturdays against other CSA teams.
